Job seekers can access a wide range of services at no cost in our Job Central office. Internet access is offered for online job searching. Staff assistance is available to help those job seekers with job search activities such as developing resumes, completing applications, accessing labor market information, skills testing and the ability to obtain certificates of achievement and providing referrals to other agencies and services as needed. Job seekers also have access to partner services including Employment Development Department (EDD), Experience Works and Department of Rehabilitation. Job Central is normally open Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Prove It Testing Stations
Prove It is a testing system that allows you to take a variety of tests to verify your skills and obtain certificates of achievement. Test results are stored for future use if needed. The Sutter County One Stop currently has four dedicated workstations for testing available on a first come, first serve basis. Skills and behavioral assessments are available for clerical, software, technical, call center, industrial, financial, legal, medical, and more. CalJOBS
You may access CalJOBS from any location 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It allows you to search for jobs with various companies all in one place. The system provides capability well beyond a simple keyword search, permitting multiple search criteria including occupation, industry, skills, salary, employer name and more.

You are able to create an online application, a resume and apply for positions. The system will also track your job search efforts. You can even utilize the Virtual Recruiter feature to have the system search for jobs for you!

CalJobs is more than a Job Board. It also has career tools to allow you to effectively find jobs that match you skills, values and interests. For those that find they have a significant skills gap, the system will point to available training programs and funding sources. Additionally, the system will allow you to review the labor market in any local area, occupation or industry.
